Welcome to my roundup of the best wedding venues in Pinehurst, NC!
I have been a wedding photographer since 2009 and have spent 10 of those years photographing weddings in Pinehurst (the other 5 I was in Northern Virginia, but Pinehurst has always held my heart). In that time I have shot dozens of weddings at almost every venue that we have in our area and I’m happy to share what are in my opinion the best wedding venues in Pinehurst to help make your wedding planning process easier! After you look through this list of wedding venues I also wrote a post about the top things to consider when choosing your wedding venue so be sure to check out that post as well!
These are not in any particular order. We are lucky to have a good number of wedding venues in Pinehurst to choose from that are all beautiful and have different attributes.
Pinehurst Resort
Pinehurst is the home of golf so it makes perfect sense that the Pinehurst Resort is a go to for people who love golf to get married, but that’s not all Pinehurst Resort has to offer. I have lived here long enough that I sometimes forget that we are so lucky to live with a 4-star resort in our back yard!
Pinehurst resort can accommodate events from micro-weddings to large formal weddings and has a big variety of options when it comes to ceremony and reception sites. There are currently 10 country clubs, the Carolina Inn, and the Holly Inn which all have spaces available for events.
My favorite ceremony spaces are the east lawn at the Carolina Hotel and the rear courtyard at the Holly Inn. For small weddings the Holly Inn also has one of the most unique reception spaces with their octagonal ballroom dripping with art nouveau detailing.
Then of course there are the photo ops in front of the iconic Pinehurst hedges!
Rentals and food and beverage are included with your venue package so it is one less thing to worry about (Plus, their food is great!)

Village Pine Venue
Village Pine Venue was opened in 2023 by Sammy and Melissa McPeake who have an extensive background in hospitality so venturing into weddings made perfect sense for them.
The venue is located just a few minutes north of Pinehurst on hwy 15-501 and can accommodate upwards of 200 guests.
The best parts of the venue (in my photographer centric opinion) are the white interior of the main reception space and the Charleston-inspired walled garden.
The neutral space allows you to work with any theme or color palette you desire.

Village Pine Venue also features a built in bar area, covered veranda, a full catering kitchen, a conference room, and a kids area in case you want to have the kiddos provided with childcare away from the main event hall!
There is an outdoor amphitheater for ceremonies as well as a bridal house for getting ready and a groom’s garage.
The Fair Barn
The Fair Barn is one of the best wedding venues in Pinehurst for larger weddings because it can comfortable accommodate up to around 300 guests.
The venue is owned and managed by the Village of Pinehurst (not Pinehurst Resort) so it is affordable for what you receive, but that also means that it often books out more than a year in advance so advance planning and a long engagement are required.
The inside of the barn is lovely and it also has a full catering kitchen. There is an on-site getting ready space for the bride (though if you have a large bridal party it is on the small side). Grooms will need to get ready off-site as there is no groom’s suite.
The interior space is large enough to be split with pipe and drape into two spaces to allow both ceremony and reception to be held inside. There is also a brick patio that is perfect for cocktail hour or outdoor ceremonies.

The Weymouth Center
While their official name of The Weymouth Center for Arts and Humanities is a mouthful, weddings held at weymouth house are always beautiful!
The Weymouth Center property consists of the Boyd House (a historic home that also houses the NC Literary Hall of Fame and a writer’s in residence program), lovely formal gardens, and several miles of equestrian trails.
The Weymouth Center is best for mid-sized weddings and if you are not having a very small wedding (say 50 or less) you will need to plan to tent the side yard for the reception – though I have had several brides choose to hold the reception open air with no rain plan and (knock on wood) so far none have been rained out!
There is a room upstairs for the bride and bridal party to get ready which is comfortably sized and the groom generally gets ready in the Library downstairs.
Ceremonies are generally held in the gardens or inside the main house. There is a catering kitchen available in the house as well as access to bathrooms, but the entire house is not available for events due to the writers in residence program.

Soiree on South
If you are planning a small wedding then Soiree on South is one of the best wedding venues in the Pinehurst area for small celebrations!
Soiree on South is nestled in downtown Aberdeen and is the perfect backdrop for 25-50 person celebrations.

I personally love the brick work and the all white interior. There is a small kitchen in the back of the space and plenty of natural light (and those arched windows!). The space opens onto an enclosed patio space allowing for your guests to flow in and out of the venue.
Soiree on South is also a reasonably priced bridal showers location and rehearsal dinner location in the Southern Pines / Pinehurst area!
CCNC and Forest Creek
Both CCNC (or the Country Club of North Carolina) and Forest Creek would probably hate that I am lumping them in together, but I am doing so because while both are stunning golf courses they are also private clubs. You need to either be a member or have a member sponsor you to be able to hold your wedding there.
CCNC has a beautiful blue and white ballroom as well as a large rear patio for events. Their new chef and head baker are phenomenal and I have never photographed a CCNC wedding and walked away disappointed! Greta, the coordinator, is always on top of it and ensures that all of the events run super smoothly.
Forest Creek is arguably one of the nicest clubs in the area and events at their newly renovated clubhouse and locker rooms are always lovely. Once again, food is top notch and they have a lot of variety to offer. The putting green is the perfect spot for sunset photos to wrap up your Forest Creek wedding.

Duncraig Manor and Gardens
This Tudor Style Manor is located just outside downtown Southern Pines. Duncraig Manor is a large property that allows you the opportunity to rent the entire manor for your wedding if you would like to be able to stay on-site and host up to 24 people.
The property also features a pavilion for your reception, a rear patio with a pond, and a large yard. The property photographs very nicely and has a wonderful feel to it if you are willing to put up with a few small quirks.
On the whimsical side, there are stuffed raccoons in the restroom 😉
Duncraig Manor markets itself as providing many services in house which can seem like a bargain, but proceed with care. I have had mixed reviews from my couples as to how easy to work with the owners are when it comes to flowers being as expected, the dj service, and responsiveness to calls and emails, etc. My recommendation is that you can have a lovely wedding at Duncraig Manor but you will likely save yourself a lot of stress by not utilizing the in-house services and bringing in your own vendors.

Rubicon Farm
Located a few minutes from Pinehurst Rubicon Farm is a historic log cabin from the 1820’s and is the perfect option for couples who want an easy wedding without breaking the bank.
The 30 acre property has several options for ceremonies from a wooden gazebo to underneath a huge magnolia tree. The wedding party has use of the 3 bedroom restored farmhouse to get ready and the recently completed pavilion adds space for your reception without the need to rent a tent.
Rubicon Farm offers all-inclusive wedding packages and in this case Elizabeth always does a wonderful job making sure that everything from the flowers to the cake to the photography is perfect. They host anything from elopements and micro weddings to larger weddings of up to 150 or events up to 200 guests.
Pine Grove Farm
Pine Grove Farm is a new venue that I just learned about!
I have not photographed an event here yet but I included it in my list for this one major reason – glass greenhouse.
I am obsessed with weddings in greenhouses.

Their website states that they can host weddings with up to 75 guests and some of your rentals are included (always a plus!). There is an outdoor pavilion, fire pits, a bocce court, and a grill/smoker/pizza oven available under certain conditions.
The Wallace
Since this is supposed to be a list of the best wedding venues in Pinehurst I added this venue last because the Wallace is a little bit of a hike from the Pinehurst area out 15-501 South towards Laurinburg. Despite the distance, the Wallace is a lovely little venue with a nice ballroom with a huge stone fireplace next to a very picturesque lake.
I love the ceremony setup at the edge of the lake. It makes such a great backdrop for the photos.
One wedding I photographed here absolutely poured down buckets of rain, but there was still plenty of space (and the ballroom is photogenic enough) that we were able to do all of their photos inside and they still looked lovely!
My only two critiques of this venue are that you need to drive down a rather long gravel drive which can get hard to navigate if it rains a lot and the getting ready room was painted a very bright hue last I was there. It did not match the color palette of the wedding and I ended up making most of those photos black and white so that they didn’t clash. Hopefully they have repainted since I was there last time!
