Michael David
Born 3/21/19 – 6 lbs 13 oz – 19 inches
Southern Pines Newborn Photographer
It has only been a few weeks and it is crazy to me how much he has grown already! Everyone is right when they say this time is both the shortest and the longest of your life.
In just a few weeks he has gotten so much stronger and more alert. The amount of growth and development that babies do in the first few weeks is amazing!
I knew that I wanted most of Michael’s newborn photos to be clean, simple, and neutral (surprise, surprise). This way no matter which images I choose to have printed I know that they will look good together and look good with our house decor.
I mostly stuck to lifestyle images for Michael’s newborn photos, but I did sneak in a few posed photos. The second to last image here has the second lamb blanket my cousin made that I talked about in this post about Michael’s woodland theme nursery.
Being a professional photographer is both a blessing and a curse. I am sure that you have all heard the expression about the cobbler’s children going barefoot? Equally true with the photographer’s family going without photos.
Since this will likely be the only baby that we have, I wanted to make sure that we had photos of all of us together as a family.
I also wanted to be able to remember little things like his dark blue eyes and his furry little werewolf ears 🙂
These aren’t official “good camera” photos but how cute was he after his first bath with that towel with the ears???
It’s funny, Michael has gone from HATING baths in his little bath tub to baths in the whirlpool tub being the only thing that will calm him down when he is fussy. He will stay in the whirlpool tub and sleep for hours if I don’t move or turn off the jets.
I love so many of the images! Which ones do you think that I should have printed for the walls? I’d love your opinions in the comments!
