Savannah + Hayden – A Romantic Military Elopement in Southern Pines

Community Congragational Church wedding

Savannah, like many of my other brides this year, has had her wedding plans all whirled around by the current pandemic. Though they have a bigger wedding planned now later in the year, they decided on this Southern Pines elopement when Hayden got back from his deployment.

Hayden was deployed unexpectedly about 6 months ago and got back and finished quarantining the day before the wedding. The first time that Savannah and Hayden saw each other since prior to his deployment was when the doors opened at the church as she was walking down the aisle!

When Savannah told me this was the plan I knew that I had to be a part of it. This homecoming was one for the books. I’m impressed how they held it together because I would have been crying like a baby if I tried to do that on my wedding day!

Savannah and Hayden held their Southern Pines elopement with their closest family at Community Congregational church. This church, right in the heart of Southern Pines, has a beautiful sanctuary and is just steps from downtown which gave us lots of options for portraits.

I loved the dress that Savannah chose for the elopement. She will be wearing a different gown for her larger wedding in December, but this one was perfect for the smaller, more intimate ceremony – plus I absolutely adore the lace panels! They make the dress so interesting and elegant.

I hope that Savannah and Hayden enjoy their time together now as a married couple! Savannah had just moved to the area right before the wedding from Texas so I know they will enjoy getting to spend the Summer together getting to know the area.

Congratulations!

THANK YOU!

We will be in touch soon.
