Berchestgaden National park in the Bavaria region of Germany was absolutely gorgeous.  We only got to spend a few days here on our recent trip, but still got in some decent hiking and exploring including hiking to the top of Röthbach waterfall, the tallest waterfall in Germany.  The entire area is full of lovely alpine scenery and the waters are the most unique, intense green color.  We also took the time to stop at St. Bartholomas and St. Johann und Paul chapel on our way up to see the glacier at the base of Watzmann.
