Just up the road from Pippin Hill Farm is another great Virginia rustic wedding venue – Abemarle Ciderworks.

Abemarle Ciderworks is a cidery that also hosts a seasonal farm stand and an extensive apple orchard.  The cidery is a newer wedding venue, so you have a great chance to take advantage of the extended availability, great location, and lovely scenery of the area at this hidden gem before it gets as popular as the surrounding venues.

Abemarle Ciderworks has a guest cottage on property that can be used for the bridal party to get ready or to house guests from the wedding leading up to, or after, the wedding day festivities.  The Guest Cottage has a King bed, two queen beds, and two twin beds as well as a small kitchen, living areas and a porch overlooking the lily pond nearby.

Just outside the Guest Cottage is a lovely lily pond with a dock that would be the perfect location for sunset photos of you and your new husband.  The property also boats rolling hills, shade trees aplenty, and of course, the orchards to stroll through.The Farm stand, located adjacent to the cidery, offers a variety of seasonal produce grown on-site.  Mostly, fruits and vegetables are offered and the selection changes from week to week. The tasting room and indoor event space are flooded with light from the many floor to ceiling windows and patio doors.  The space is intimate and has a very welcoming, family aura to it with slate floors and a field stone fireplace.  The patio and yard, just out the patio doors, can easily be tented to allow for larger weddings and receptions.  The indoor event space could also be used as a back-up ceremony space in poor weather.
