As soon as I posted my very first pictures of Jamie, Kim told me that she wanted to be part part of my project. Of course I agreed and we set up a date.
The other day Kim posted something on Facebook that really caught my attention. She said:
“Today, I got a true before/after health picture, and I wish I had gotten a picture of my doctor’s face after he had read the results. I think he was prouder than I was!! So, after 8 months of 4-5x/week CrossFit and changing my diet, my numbers did this:
Fasting Glucose was 110, now 75
Resting Heartrate was 90, now 62
Cholesterol was 205, now 189
I’ve also lost 21lbs, shaved 15 inches overall off my body, reduced my bodyfat by 10%, and dropped 3 sizes. In 8 months.
Hard work, both in the gym and the kitchen, really works!”
Kim is so strong (mentally and literally – hello 250lb back sqaut!) and she is obviously determined and driven as well. What she had accomplished so far is amazing and I know that she will keep at it until she reaches her goals.
So, here’s Kim.
My favorite thing about CrossFit is the community… people of all shapes, sizes, and fitness levels cheering each other on and pushing each other forward.
My favorite lifts/movements are: deadlift, back squat, kettlebell swings, hand release push-ups, and wall balls.
When I think of Crossfit, I think: power, fun, community, strength, and improvement
I am most proud of my 270lb deadlift and 250lb back squat.
My fav named workout is Linda.
