48 Fields is another up and coming rustic wedding venue in Northern Virginia.
Located just outside Leesburg, 48 Fields is tucked away off a dirt road surrounded by wineries and breweries in a blossoming area. The barn itself is an old dairy barn that is being restored and turned into an event space. From the outside you will notice the new landscaping and the quaint wood doors made from barn wood salvaged from the other buildings on the property.
On the inside of the lower level, the barn has been redone with weathered grey tile floors and whitewashed walls to give the space a light, airy feel. Black and white details add a crisp appeal to the space. Rustic hardware gives a nod to the barns origins while also giving it a modern feel.
On the grounds at 48 Fields there are several rustic barns and outbuildings that make great backdrops for portraits. These buildings will be getting cleaned up a little over the winter, but right now they offer lots of interesting texture.
One of the trees in the yard has a quaint rope swing in the yard. The barn and outbuildings are located on the front portion of the rather large lot leaving a big field in the rear of the property. Speaking of this field, can we talk about the amazing golden hour sunlight here? It is incredible.
When I asked the owners when they would be accepting wedding bookings they answered that it depends how adventurous the clients felt like being. You can currently tent the field for the reception and hold a ceremony on the grounds, though there are not currently restroom facilities onsite and those would need to be brought in. They are hoping to have the barn open for bookings in 2016.
They are currently working on renovating the upstairs area of the barn. The space is large, with vaulted ceilings that they plan to leave exposed. The space will be getting new floors, windows and doors in the coming months, but you can already see the potential in the space.
