305 Trackside Wedding - Southern Pines Wedding Photographer

Elizabeth and Ben’s 305 Trackside wedding perfectly captured their personalities, and let’s be honest – who doesn’t love a cowboy?

Elizabeth and Ben both train horses and spend the majority of their time outdoors with horses which explains why the cowboy hat is an essential part of Ben’s wardrobe. (He also wore it for their very dapper engagement session at the Pinehurst Village Arboretum if you missed that on the blog awhile back.)

They met – of all places – at an ugly sweater Christmas party.

After that they went on a trail ride on their horses together and then out to dinner at a local pizza place which might have been their first date, depending who you asked. Elizabeth thought they were just going out as friends and didn’t realize at first that they were actually dating until a few dates in.

When it came time for Ben to pop the question, he kept trying to plan a day hiking but with their busy schedules it just never seemed to happen. Finally he got fed up and just proposed to Elizabeth in the barn aisle before they were leaving to go on a trip together for the summer.

“It was rather impromptu and just perfect for the both of us.” said Elizabeth.

Elizabeth got ready at the Jefferson Inn prior to her 305 Trackside wedding which gave us lots of options for gorgeous detail photos. After the getting ready was completed we headed over to the venue for the ceremony.

The first thing you noticed when you arrived was the stunning floral arch designed by Carol Dowd of Botanicals over the sliding doors that was the backdrop for the ceremony. Even though Elizabeth was nervous for the ceremony, it went off without a hitch and after cocktail hour everyone headed indoors to celebrate and dance the night away.

Towards the end of the night we made sure to sneak out and grab a photo with he flower arch and all of the guests in the background.

A perfect finish to a perfect night!
