Lauren and Katherine are two of the most laid back people that I know so when they asked me to photograph their wedding at Paradise Springs Winery I knew that it was going to be a fun event. The day started with perfect rustic details like these custom made wooden ring boxes and bright sunflower bouquets that the brides put together themselves.
We did our first look session at the historic cabin on the property. It was nice for Lauren and Kat to be able to spend a little time together alone before the day kicked into high gear.
The red barns provide the perfect ceremony backdrop for weddings at Paradise Springs Winery and they also add such an amazing pop of color to the portraits!
After the first look session and portraits we were ready for the ceremony. The couple made custom luminaries out of wine bottles that lined the aisle for the wedding ceremony. The flower bearer had an adorable vintage burlap sack filled with flower petals which he flung with abandon.
The ring bearer looked incredibly handsome in his three piece suit, but he and his brother tried to steal the show during the ceremony. Luckily Lauren had the forethought to put fake rings in the boxes so that when the boys dumped them out on the ground during the ceremony they didn’t lose their rings!
Lauren and Kat wrote their own vows for the wedding over wine…at a Chinese restaraunt. As they read the vows off the back of the placemat you could gauge how much wine they had had at that point in writing them by how easy it was for them to decifer their handwriting 🙂
A fter the ceremony they had a cocktail hour on the patio before moving into the tasting room for the gourmet reception. When I asked them what was important on their wedding day they said friends, family, food and wine! All four where there in abundance.
