Despite all the COVID drama, Quint and Rebekah held their wedding at the Bradford in New Hill, North Carolina earlier this month. Even though they’d been pressured to wait, Rebekah said in her vows that she just couldn’t wait to marry this man. *sigh*
Quint and Rebekah met at work where they, in her words, “Try to stop bad people from doing bad things.” When they first met there was attraction (Quint mentioned her beautiful eyes) but also some tension. After Rebekah gave him a good dressing down Quint took a look and realized that maybe she was right and that he wanted to be a better person than the guy she had seen. They became friends and slowly their friendship evolved and they started dating.
The proposal came just before Christmas and happened the night before Quint had planned. Rebekah was sad and having “an absolute melt-down” so Quint wisely decided to move up the plan. They exchanged their Christmas gifts that night. Rebekah got Quint a sweet vintage Nintendo 64 and Quint proposed so it was a win-win 🙂
These two both have big, bold personalities, but deep down they are both the sweetest. I asked them when they felt most in love with each other and Quint’s answer was “When we’re apart because it makes me think about and realize how much I really miss her. It makes me not take the time we have together for granted.”
Their wedding at the Bradford was, though a little different than planned due to COVID, still a stunningly beautiful and intimate affair. The gold and white color scheme created a neutral backdrop for the special touches that Rebekah worked so hard on.
Though many of the guests did not get to stay for the reception, Rebekah and the team from Amanda Blair by Design thought of lots of creative ways to keep guests safe and socially distanced while still feeling involved. As each guest arrived and completed their health screening they were escorted to the absolutely adorable Vita Mielie champagne cart, given their plated appetizers, and taken to their seating pod for a pre-ceremony cocktail hour. After the reception was over, the guests who had to leave were escorted into the main house where they received a custom engraved copper mug with one of the couples signature cocktails and were able to greet the couple one group at a time during the post-ceremony cocktail hour before catching the shuttle.
Congratulations Quint and Rebekah on a beautiful day!
