Northern Virginia Engagement Photographer – Tracy and Jeff’s E-session at Historic House in the Horseshoe

Something that is really important to me as a professional photographer is that delivering pretty images to my clients should not be the main goal of each session.  I feel like that should be a given.  My goal for each photography session is to take amazing photographs that also have a story to tell for the people involved.  I want each photo shoot or engagement session to have a “theme” that shows something meaningful to the couple.  I asked Tracy to think of something that was important to she and Jeff as a couple and this was the response that I got back.

“I was thinking of something that intrigues us and how we want our life to be and i came up with ‘homesteading’. will this work? we want to live a simple self-sufficient christian life in the country. growing our own food (or him hunting for it), living simply for God and way far out in the country in an old farmhouse:)

Tracy’s response was so unique to them as a couple that I am sure the photos will continue to be meaningful to them for many years to come.  We incorporated some elements of homesteading into their session with the fishing poles and the shot guns, but it was also fun for Tracy and Jeff to get to relax on a beautiful evening and just enjoy this time together before their wedding.

Enjoy!

THANK YOU!
