One of my favorite parts of shooting natural light newborn photography sessions – aside from getting to snuggle adorable little babies – is the simplicity allows you to really focus in on all of those cuddly, squishy newborn details!

Abel made his entrance into the world on Christmas Eve.

There is something extra special about a Christmas baby don’t you think?

Abel was a week old at our newborn session and already he was awake, alert, and curious for most of our session which allowed us to get some great pictures of his many facial expressions!
Since Abel was a Christmas baby I couldn’t resist throwing in a splash of red for some of his newborn photos!

After 7 days your baby begins to sleep less often and less soundly which can make getting those cute cuddly newborn photos much more difficult.
