Colorful Greensboro Wedding at Lake Jeanette

Julie and Jared’s Lake Jeanette Greensboro wedding was exactly what I envisioned it would be after their Hanging Rock State Park engagement session.

When we first started discussing what they had planned I was hooked as soon as they started talking about entering and exiting the reception via canoe. Who wouldn’t love an epic wedding entrance idea like that?!?

The groom’s mother was a wedding planner before COVID so I knew that she would come up with some amazing details and she did not disappoint!

One of my personal favorite details (which seems to be a hot wedding trend for 2024) is the custom national parks themed wedding sign! I can 100% picture this getting re-used as decor in their home after the wedding. Wouldn’t it be perfect surrounded by some gallery wraps of their waterfall engagement session???

Jared, the groom, is a geologist and Julie, the bride, is an ecological engineer with an emphasis on streams and wetlands restoration so Lake Jeanette was a perfect venue for this Greensboro wedding.

The theme of the wedding was a mix of their two professions – streams, lakes, gemstones, and water. The theme shone through in the blue, teal, and white color palette as well as the agate table numbers and gemstones nestled in the florals for the tablescapes.

The reception was a brunch wedding theme with a breakfast bar and a coffee truck made from a vintage horse trailer!

The couple thrifted unique coffee mugs for each guest to use at the coffee truck and had a make-your-own-mimosa bar.

After brunch, there were pontoon rides to see the bald eagle nest on the lake and they capped the day by cutting the stunning teal and white geode inspired wedding cake.
