It is said that Thomas Jefferson once played on the grounds of Castle Hill Cider, one of Keswick, Virginia‘s oldest estates.
The barn is not only a wedding venue, during the week it is the center of production for this busy cidery. It is not uncommon to see the staff going about their work on the ground floor of the barn while you are in the tasting room.
The cidery has over half a dozen different ciders (some of which are around 10% ABV so watch yourself) available for tasting at their indoor tasting room and also at their newly completed outdoor tasting room.
The simple white exterior and black trim of the barn at Castle Hill Cider are the perfect backdrop for an elegant outdoor wedding ceremony or reception.
Castle Hill Cider feels equally appropriate for a rustic wedding with it’s country setting or a black tie wedding with it’s understated charm.
The indoor tasting room has a masculine vibe that would make it a perfect spot for the groom and his groomsmen to relax while the bride gets ready upstairs.
The barn space has two levels; the large lower level with a stage and the upper loft with catwalks overlooking the space below.
The building itself is gorgeous, but if you take a moment to step outside you will see that the grounds at Castle Hill Cider are just as lovely. There are rolling hills dotted with quaint barns, white fences lining the roads, and flowers dotting the property.
The view out the floor to ceiling back windows is also nothing to sneeze at. The back lawn is perfect for a relaxed cocktail hour.
