I love when I get the opportunity to shoot a wedding at Oatlands Plantation in Leesburg!
I am getting ready to blog about the amazing new sample album that I just dropped off at Oatlands for them to show their wedding couples next week, but while we wait I thought we would take a look back at this great rustic black, white, and blush wedding inspiration. The tablescapes designed by the Girls from Main Street featured rustic florals in birch lanters perched atop blush linens and striped accent runners from Everything Linen. The invitation suite, designed and created by Simply Designed echoed the bold graphic stripe print from the linen. The antler details gave this modern invitation suite a rustic feel and a dash of whimsy. The ring that we chose for our bride was a beautiful cushion cut engagement ring with a stunning citrine stone set in yellow gold and flanked by diamonds. The intimate reception for this wedding at Oatlands Plantation was set up in the Carriage House, which is the perfect space for small events. This stunning fit and flare dress from Simply Bridal was a showstopper. One of my favorite things about a wedding at Oatlands Plantation is the greenhouse and the gardens (I’m sure that I am not alone in that!). The greenhouse is especially nice on cooler wedding days because it is so warm and toasty even when it is cold or rainy on the rest of the property. You can choose to have your wedding at Oatlands Plantation at several different ceremony locations around the property. Most couples place the tent for the wedding reception on the large front lawn by the plantation house which makes the gardens the perfect choice for the ceremony and cocktail hour. This couple opted for the primary ceremony site in the back garden. The bride gets a nice, long dramatic walk up this aisle. There is also the option to set up your own arbor in any of the other nooks that the gardens have to offer. The main house at Oatlands always makes a lovely backdrop for the wedding reception and more formal portaraits of the couple. The brides hair and make-up were provided by Lipstick and Chiffon who always does such amazing work! I absolutely adored all of the loose eucalyptus in this bouguet designed by the Girls from Main Street! Gateau did an amazing job creating this very textural cake for the couple. And what wedding at Oatlands Plantation would be complete without a perfect sunset like this one?
