Amanda + KC  – Southern Pines Wedding Photographer

Amanda and KC’s wedding at Evergreen Country Club in Haymarket, Virginia was so much fun!  I love being able to photograph weddings for my friends and this wedding was a blast!

The getting ready room at Evergreen is lovely with large mirrors, plenty of comfy couches, and natural light.  It makes a great place to get ready and relax before the wedding.

Amanda’s wedding and engagement rings were so beautiful.  I love how the one tiny sapphire hides in the wedding ring and is accented by more sapphires in the band.  Amanda used the same dark blue throughout her color palette accenting it with red, orange, and green.  The rich colors were dotted thoughtfully throughout the ceremony and reception in the bouquets, bridesmaids dresses, centerpieces, and cake display – featuring a Washington Nationals mini cake.  You might remember from KC and Amanda’s engagement session that they are big sports fans!

Amanda was also able to add special touches to remind herself of and honor her father in the wedding.  His portrait walked down the aisle with her mother making it feel like he was there watching over everyone and smiling down.

During the reception Amanda and her brother danced in place of the traditional father daughter dance and everyone in the room was brought to tears by the emotion of that touching moment.  Being able to witness and document moments like that is one of the things that makes me feel so blessed to have the job that I do!

Though there were some serious and emotional moments during the wedding day, there was also plenty of laughter and fun (check out the groomsmen photos!)
