My style is romantic, artistic, editorial, and joyful.
When I photograph your wedding I focus on the details that go into making a beautiful event – the flowers, dress, rings, decor – the emotions of the day, and the connection between you and your fiance.
What can you expect from me?
I create an artfully curated version of your wedding day by focusing my attention on images of the details of your wedding, spontaneous moments of joy, and natural portraits of the two of you as a couple.
We will have a consultation prior to booking your wedding, preferably in person but we can also chat on the phone if you can’t make it to Manassas. I want to learn about you and I want you to learn about me. If the only questions that you have for me revolve around how much my collections cost, I’m not the photographer for you.
If you get me started on the topic of health and fitness I will talk way.too.much. Any mention of pets and you will be forced to ooh and ahh over pictures of my dogs. I seriously can’t help myself. When we meet I will hug you (unless you ask me not to. Then I will really want to hug you but give you a very proper hand shake instead.)
Rustic outdoor venues are where I really shine. I am always happiest when I am surrounded by nature and Virginia offers so many wedding venues that take full advantage of this areas gorgeous natural scenery.
The album that you will receive with your wedding photography will be designed in a fine art style, which means that there are fewer images per page and lots of lovely white space to let your images really shine. I will lay out your wedding as if it were my own, highlighting all the best parts of the day. My albums are handmade in the USA and feature high quality leathers, silks, linens and fine art watercolor papers that give your images a deep, rich appearance.
What don’t I do?
While I do spend a good portion of your day photographing the events candidly as they unfold and melting into the background like a ninja, you won’t be seeing any images of you putting on your deodorant in your gallery. I choose to focus on only the most beautiful and joyful parts of your wedding day and your coverage will reflect that aesthetic.
Each couple is beautiful in their own completely unique way. I don’t want you comparing your wedding day experience to anyone else’s. Pinterest and wedding blogs are amazing sources of inspiration, but to me they are just that – a starting point for creating images that are genuine to you and no one else!
