Brooke and Jason’s wedding at the Wallace Wedding and Event Venue
Even though I have been an Aberdeen NC wedding photographer for years, this is the first wedding that I have photographed at the Wallace Wedding and Event Venue. It is secreted away just a little ways down 501 south of Aberdeen, a short drive from anywhere in the Pines.
Brooke and Jason’s wedding took place just before the New Year and it RAINED. A lot. Luckily, we were able to find a small window of time to get outside and take advantage of the beautiful pond at scenery at the venue for Brooke and Jason’t first look prior to the ceremony. Just a few minutes after we came back inside the sky got dark and it absolutely poured, but a little rain did not dampen anyone’s spirits!
The Wallace has a beautiful large stone fireplace that is the focal point of the room and Brooke had a 5 foot wreath made that was the perfect accent.
I always have brides ask the best tricks to help stay on budget and Brooke did a couple very smart things (scroll to the end of the post for a full vendor list).
First, did you know that they sell bulk flowers at Cosco? That was where Brooke got the florals for the garlands and wreaths! You can even order them online!
Second, Brooke got her cake from Lowe’s foods in Southern Pines. It looked beautiful and tasted delicious.
Third, Brooke made her guest book at Hammer and Stain Southern Pines. This is such a cool idea because you get a girls night out with your besties and you get to make a keepsake that will hang in your home.
One of my favorite moments of the reception was when the bride’s sister gave her toast as a rap to “The Fresh Price of Bel-Air”. The day was full of lots of laid back fun. I hope you enjoy!
