Wish and Jenn’s engagement photography session started out in front of the Sunrise Theatre, steps away from the spot where they first met.
“We met July 4th at First Friday in downtown Southern Pines,” says Jenn. “We both knew immediately! He texted me that night. The next day, he invited me to dinner with friends that night. We spent the next day together looking at land and donkeys. Then he wanted to take me to lunch, at lunch he asked me to dinner… and it went on from there.. Not really an official ‘first date’ we just never missed a beat.”
We started out our engagement photography session in downtown Southern Pines in front of the Sunrise Theatre and then took a short walk over to the Jefferson Inn
“For the proposal – he took me to ‘Myrtle Beach in the Mountains’ aka Pigeon Forge. We laughed so much. He rented a cabin and proposed immediately the next morning.. I was barely awake and he was talking/rambling on, I wasn’t really following, and that’s when I realized he was nervous! Then I was wide awake! And before I could get out of bed, he was on his knee with a ring. I wasn’t really expecting a proposal that weekend! Little did I know, he wanted to take me on a picnic the weekend before to propose, but I went golfing with the girls and messed it all up … oops!”
Jenn had the most adorable answer when we were discussing where to have their engagement photography session. I asked her where she feels most comfortable and this is what she said.
“I feel most comfortable, all the time, no matter where we are. Just his presence puts me at ease and makes me feel so loved.”
What is she most looking forward to on their wedding day?
“I’m can’t wait to see his face on our wedding day! I’m looking forward to forever with Aloysius. The only thing I’m nervous about is being the center of attention. He’s probably nervous about me being on time :)”
