A wedding does not need to be a big event to be beautiful, full of love, and special.
I teamed up with Maribel Kalata of EightTreeStreet to plan this casual brunch inspired styled wedding shoot at Paradise Springs Winery in Clifton, Virginia to show how great scenery, good food, and a kicked back atmosphere can create a fabulous event.
Maribel drew inspiration from a colorful Ikat pattern for this styled wedding shoot. Her concept was to incorporate items into the wedding that the couple could later use as decor for their home. This is a great way to have a reminder of your wedding day incorporated into your daily life long after the wedding. Heather Long of Simply Designed Invites did an amazing job creating an invitation suite that was colorful, fresh, and graphic.
Since this was an un-traditional wedding, we wanted the food to be soemthing different from the usual wedding fare. We brought in Jason Shriner, The Aubergine Chef, to create a laid back outdoor brunch for us complete with bacon shaped hearts and a pancake cake.
Looking at the pictures I am ready for a glass of wine and some chocolate croissants!
Enjoy.
