Hey y’all. While I specialize in Southern Pines wedding photography, did you know that I also travel all over the place for destination weddings?
Traveling for weddings is such a blast! I get to be exposed to new venues that I normally would not see, work with new vendors, and meet a ton of different people.
For this destination wedding in Pennsylvania we were at Radnor Valley Country Club in Villanova. Talk about stunning architecture!
Steph and Rusty have a lot of things in common. They are both competitive and very driven. Throw in the fact that that Steph is the youngest in her family, the only girl, and that it was a catholic wedding and you might expect two such individuals to have had a fussy, formal affair.
This wedding managed to walk the line between being beautiful and elegant (wait until you see the flowers) but with a very laid back fun vibe.
There was still a little bit of competition, though.
One group of friends went all out and brought signs and cutouts of famous faces. This led another group of friends to steal the “Cool kids table” sign. A process that was repeated throughout the reception.
All in all, a fun time was had by all and I was so glad to have been a part of it.
Steph told me after the wedding that her niece had been reading a book about being a flower girl to get ready for her big debut at Steph’s wedding.
This was the moment where she finally made the connection and realized that Steph was the bride – just like in the book. The look on her face was so sweet!
We did not do a first look session with Rusty, but it was important to Steph to have a first look session with her dad. This was a really special moment with the two of them in the foyer and her Mom looking on from the balcony.
The florals for the wedding were GORGEOUS.
I am a sucker for tall arrangements and these tall candelabra arrangements were to die for!
