I <3 Albums

I love have wedding albums in the studio.  Someday I will have a lovely album like this all my own but in the mean time it just makes me happy to get to see other people’s albums come to life.  In my opinion, albums are the best way to capture the story and emotion of your wedding day and that is why I focus on them so heavily.  I read a quote on the Internet that really made sense to me on this topic.  It said something along the lines of, “hiring a professional photographer to capture images of your special day and then asking for the files on disk is like hiring an author to write your autobiography and then asking them to just choose all the words that they would use to write the book and put them in a box so that you can put them together yourself.”  This is the whole reason that I wanted to become a photographer was so that I can use my skills to tell the story of the people that I am photographing so it makes me over the moon happy when my clients “get it” and feel that way too.  I loved this wedding for it’s great personality and choosing to upgrade to a 40 page album really let me tell the unique story of their special day in the depth that it deserved.  They opted for an 8×8 album in the Bomber Jacket leather with a cover cutout upgrade and it looks fabulous!  I almost don’t want to give it up and send it to them, Ha!  The flush mount wedding albums are handmade one at a time in the USA and use special hinged pages that allow the book to lay flat for a clean, uninterrupted two page spread.  The pages have a thick mat board core to provide stability and longevity for many years to come.  This couple also chose to get two duplicate press books of their albums for their parents (pictured below).  The press books are a great economical way to be bale to share your wedding memories with the ones that you love the most.
