Beth and Kyle’s Bella Sera wedding in Pennsylvania was an intimate celebration set against the Italianate backdrop of the lovely Bella Sera venue.
Beth and Kyle are an example of office romance gone right. Both work together in law enforcement and they met on the job. Eventually their friends got them together and now, four years later, they are getting married!
When it was time to propose, Kyle convinced Beth to go on a hike with his niece while they were on vacation in Denver, Colorado. When they stopped to rest at an overlook Kyle’s niece asked Beth to look at the necklace she was wearing. When Beth looked down at the necklace the ring was hanging around the niece’s neck and Kyle got down on one knee and propsed. His niece was thrilled that she got to play a part in the proposal!
Beth found her dress at Jeanette’s Bride N Boutique in Manassas. “It is a great place!” she says, “My mom actually picked out the dress and I knew right away!”
Best advice to get ready for your wedding photos?
“Get your hair and makeup professionally done. It made for a relaxing morning of getting pampered! Plus then I was photo ready!
We did a first look, and I am so glad we did. It made it intimate and personal. My makeup was fresh and we got to have fun with our bridal party before the ceremony. Then, more importantly, after the ceremony we got a few pictures with family (and our dog!) then we had time to enjoy our happy hour!
Beth describes her wedding as “…wonderful, just a beautiful celebration!” She chose to keep her color scheme simple – focusing on black, white, and red elements with a touch of sparkle.
The church that they were married at is the same church where Beth’s mother, who officiated the ceremony, preaches. The church even repainted the front doors red for the couple’s wedding!
When I asked Beth her favorite moment from the wedding she said that it was walking back down the aisle and seeing all of their happy family and friends.
“We loved our reception hall, Bella Sera in Canonsburg, PA. WOW!!”, said Beth. “They were so amazing from start of the planning process to the end of the night! Our wedding planner (from Bella Sera) Lauren Madison, was quick to get back to me with any questions, kept us updated on what to do, without being pushy, and just lovely to work with! We also loved Bethel Bakery of Bethel Park, PA who made us a delicious, and beautiful cake!”
